Toontown Offline has switched to PNG textures! This is a massive change to the game, which previously used a combination of JPG and RGB files for textures. In the future, this will make higher-quality textures appear much crisper than they would as JPGs. In fact, you can already see the impact of change with fonts- which now look cleaner than ever before. This change will cause most of the game's files to update. If you have a slow internet connection, it is recommended you download this update as soon as possible even if you do not plan to play the game in the immediate future.
In regards to content packs- not to fear! This update will not break any content packs that use JPG and RGB files! They will work the same as they always have- but PNG packs will now work as well. Big thanks to Disyer for making this possible!
Added mouse controls to the Make-A-Toon. You can now use the left mouse button to rotate your Toon, and the scroll wheel to zoom in and out.
Added a new experimental option, Avatar Culling. This new option will slightly improve performance by un-rendering avatars (Toons, Cogs, etc.) if they are currently off your screen. It is disabled by default as a result of it's experimental nature.
Updated the version of Panda3D the game runs on. It should now be up-to-date with upstream as of this update.
Tweaks
The Jukeboxes in Toontown Central and the Toontown Outskirts now respond to Firework Shows.
Tweaked the position of the FPS meter on the screen.
Tweaked the paths of Cogs in Cashbot HQ.
Bug Fixes
On Windows devices, the game will now attempt to automatically close any leftover instances of Astron. This should prevent the long-standing issue of player's being stuck at "Loading Game Services (1/3)" when trying to start the game in Offline Mode.
Restored functionality that was accidentally removed where Periscope NPC Toons would announce information about firework shows.
Micro Games will now restore your Toon's speed back to what it should be in a Beta Playground.
Fixed a district reset related to Jukeboxes randomly picking a track.
Fixed a district reset related housing items being moved to a Toon's attic.
Fixed a crash related to summoning Cogs.
Fixed a rare crash related to Cog health being displayed on the battle interface.
Fixed an issue where using the SetQuestTier Magic Word would sometimes result in a Toon being granted more laff points than they should have.
Fixed an issue where Building Helpers could incorrectly be used in some zones without Cogs.
