Personally, November is my favorite month. It was a year ago this month that our team began to re-imagine our Duck Hunt update, now known as Operation: Seek Out Scrooge. In the year that's passed, we've had surges of motivation, but we've also had our ruts. Progress on the game this month has been slow, but I'm confident things will pick up this month.

You may have seen the thumbnail for today's post and not thought of it any differently, but it actually showcases an updated Chairman model. Our 3D artist Smokin' Foreman has been working hard to give more detail to the Chairman. In the future, he will be able to give more expression, become more flexible with his animations, and will have the ability to do some... other things. We'll save that for a future update, though.

This month I thought I'd ask our project lead, JawhnL5 to give his input on our endeavor to switch source codes. Have a look at what he has to say on our recent work!

Hey there, JawhnL5 here! For those who may not know me, I am the project lead & lead developer for Toontown Offline. I am also known as Sparky, so if you have heard that name tossed around in the Toontown Offline community, that is likely me being referred to! But I digress; let's talk about Toontown Offline! Since beginning the Toontown Offline rebrand in late July of this year, we have been at work to bring you guys Toontown Offline v1.0.0.0 as soon as possible! Now, I'm going to be completely honest with you all when I say that work has been very fast at times, and at other times a little slow. Indeed, progress isn't always happening as quickly as we would like it to, but mostly all of us on the team are back in school now. I know that I myself can say with absolute certainty that the rigor that comes with being a University student has definitely taken a toll on my ability to contribute to the project as often as I would like to. Despite that, we are continuing to implement the remaining TTO features that are currently missing in our game, as well as migrating our own custom content over from the old Toontown Offline to the new Toontown Offline! Perhaps one of the most difficult tasks of rewriting the game is not actually rewriting the game, but trying to keep our players up-to-date with just what it is that we are up to while we are doing it. I think I can speak for most people when I say that it's probably not very exciting to see us post screenshots of content that the old Toontown Offline technically had. Indeed, this is an awkward time for Toontown Offline as we continue to re-implement what we technically already had. Despite that, in the process of implementing this content, we are making it better than it ever was in Toontown Offline! I think you guys are really going to be thrilled with the improvement in stability and performance of the new Toontown Offline when it is ready for you all to check out for yourself! I'm always posting small teaser screenshots in our Discord server, and while they may not appear to be much of a big deal on surface level, they illustrate how much closer we are getting to being able to release a much better game for all of you to enjoy, and how much closer we are getting to being able to finally work on our own content once more. And when we do get to that point, you better believe that that's where the fun will really begin... but that's all from me right now! I hope everyone is enjoying the fall so far. Halloween just passed us, and now we're inching closer to the Christmas season- and the new year! Please be patient with us as we continue to work on the game in our free time. I know there wasn't much in this month's post, but we'll try to have something more exciting to show off for December.
