What is unique to Toontown Offline?

Toontown Offline has a ton of new features that everyone can enjoy. Although we are a sandbox-focused game, that's not to say we don't also add serious content. We try our best to keep any serious content close to the Disney's style, but we do go off-course for some of our new sandbox features. Here is a short list of some exclusive features you can find in Toontown Offline:

  • Offline Mode - Toontown Offline can be played anytime, anywhere. Load up the game on a device that runs Windows, macOS, or Linux, and you will be able to play even without an internet connection. We don't have a centralized server list most other Toontown games, meaning we can keep the spirit of Toontown alive for decades to come.
  • Mini-Servers - If you’re still looking to play with other Toons, you can host or join a Mini-Server. A Mini-Server allows you and up to 15 other Toons to play in your own Toontown sandbox.
  • Episodes - Episodes are interactive experiences that advance the Toontown storyline. In each Episode, you control a different character through their own short story. Watch cutscenes play out in order to get a glimpse into Toontown’s unseen nooks and crannies.
  • Magic Words - Commands- or as we like to call them, Magic Words- bring forth a plethora of sandbox elements to Toontown. With Magic Words, you can max out your Toon’s stats, or even spawn a huge Toontanic in the middle of Donald’s Dock. We have a literal boatload of Magic Words that serves for hours of fun. We also have a menu you can open up called the Magic Menu. Through this menu, you can access various other sandbox features. If you wish to play the game legitimately however, you can opt to not use Magic Words or enable Legit Mode.
  • Beta Playgrounds - We have a knack for nostalgia here on Toontown Offline. As such, we've made re-creations of all six playgrounds from Toontown Online's Beta days. These new areas are meant to serve as eye-candy by reflecting how each of the main playgrounds appeared back in Feburary 2002. We've taken elements from recovered files during this time period in order to make our re-creations, but also haven't been afraid to exercise our own creative liberties accordingly. We are always working to make improvements to these areas so they can be as accurate as possible to the originals. To access them in-game, use the Teleport Interface in the Magic Menu.
  • Updated Holidays - We've taken the liberty of making improvements to the three main holidays in Toontown- April Fools, Halloween, and Winter. Each of these holidays have their own unique title screen themes, and are host to a bunch of new features. Play limited-time golf courses in Bossbot Headquarters during April Fools and Halloween, collect presents during the holiday season, or enjoy the new visuals added for all three.
  • Miscellaneous - There are many, many miscellaneous features we've added to Toontown Offline outside of the big ones listed above. In addition to the Beta Playgrounds, there are several other new areas to explore. We have brought back Classic Fishing from 2003, added various new easter eggs, began a new taskline past Bossbot Headquarters, added a Chat Log and Global Chat, added various new game settings, added a new map, and much, much more.

What's in store for the future of Toontown Offline?

We’re always working on adding more things to Toontown Offline, but we have a couple projects that are at the top of the list. Here are two major projects we are currently working on:

  • Operation: Seek Out Scrooge - This update has been in the works for a few years now, undergoing various changes during that time. This is an update that adds a brand new taskline to the game past Bossbot Headquarters. Seek Out Scrooge, or SOS for short, will bring all sorts of new content to the game. New Cog areas, toontasks, boss battles, and more are planned to come in this update. Make sure to keep up-to-date with our latest blog posts for more information on Seek Out Scrooge.
  • Modding Support - A very popular community request over the years has been to add mod support to Toontown Offline. This is a very popular idea among the team, too, and we have always wanted to add some form of it. Right now, we have a few lite ways of modding the game. There is official support for custom Toon colors and custom SOS cards. Players also have the capabilities of creating their own Toontasks and editing firework shows, but these features aren't properly fleshed out, nor supported. After the release of SOS, our intentions are to begin working on more user-friendly modding capabilities. Stay tuned for more information later down the line.
